In the first, the author examines in a historico-critical way the problem of the soul or psyche as it has been faced by modern philosophy and psychology since Descartes. The 2nd part consists of 3 pphilosophical analyses of the soul and the besouled body and a concluding chapter in which the metaphysical concept of the soul is confronted with the empirical psyche. Dark blue cloth is clean, interior has heavy yellow underlining and ink marginalia. DJ some chips and age darkening, otherwise good.
