[vi], [16], 33, [v] pp, 2 blanks. The 1968 reprint of the 1952 original. Frontis figure of the ostracon, unnumbered pages with sections of the ostracon with printed hieroglyphs below with number keys, then 33 numbered pages of commentary. Original brown kraft paper dust jacket is a bit tattered, hand-written title at spine. Book itself is bound in dark green cloth, with a small bit of sunning to upper edges, slight rubbing to corners and spine tips. Pencil erasure to first blank, title page has signature and two stamps of noted linguist, sci-fi novelist and gaming creator M.A.R. Barker, last two blanks have bottom corners roughly torn off, otherwise a nice copy. Over-sized, may require additional shipping depending on your location. ; Elephant Folio - over 15" - 23" tall

Reprint of the 1922 edition written by Budge (his name at last page). Quite nice condition, original salmon paper wraps are clean and fresh, interior has ownership marks and a bit of foxing at the end pages but otherwise very nice, hard to believe it is from 1922. There are some old commercial photographs of the Rosetta Stone tucked inside and one of them has ghosted a very faint image of the Stone onto the 1st page of the booklet, very appropriately! Also has the signature of Marius G. Levenbach (1896-1981) Dutch labor law professor, dated 29 F eb 1924. ; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 8 pages

xx + 52 pp + CIV plates. Each plate includes a facing "transcription" making the hieroglyphs clear. With the signature and stamp of M.A.R. Barker, novelist, professor, linguist and role-playing game creator. Original linen buckram covers with gilt are clean. spine cover has a small flaw in the cloth (hard to spot), front cover very slightly concave, interior first free end paper has Barker's marks, otherwise clean, sturdy and very nice. The fragmentary papyri published here represent all that is known to have survived of the archives of the funerary temple of Neferikare Kakai, the 3rd king of the 5th Dynasty (c 2470 BE), whose Pyramid enclose at Abu Sir wxcavated in the early 1900s. These framents are of importance to Egyptological studies because they were the oldest body of texts written in the hieratic script known at the time. ; Folio - over 12" - 15" tall

40 pp + 3 folding plates at the rear. With bookplate of MSHG Heerma Van Voss and some slips of paper with what appear to be his comparisons of hieratic to hieroglyphic. Original grey paper card wraps are worn around the edges with some chipping and curling, spine cover repaired with old brown paper. Interior paper is toned with some foxing throughout, corners curled and bent, some chipping at the edges. The repair to the spine has left a section of the gray card on the inside front cover. Folding plates have some splitting at the folds but generally fairly sound. A good-/fair+ copy with nice provenance. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 40 pages

Signed by author to W. R. Dawson the well-known English Egyptologist and antiquarian. Original grey paper wrappers are sunned at edges, stapled binding, front cover starting to separate, edges chipped, top corner of front wrapper crumpled, text pages following are correspondingly bent. Varille (1909-1951) , a French Egyptologist, was a member of the Institut Français d'Archéologie Orientale in Cairo. He he excavated the gates of Ptolemy III and Ptolemy IV from the temple of Medamud, and had a promising career ahead of him, until a car accident ended his life in 1951.
